(extra multimedia will be added soon)

Antoniusbuche (Antoniusbuche Beech ‘tree’)

A large beech tree used to stand at this left kink.  The Bilstein Bridge is now on its entry.

Tiergarten (Animal Garden)

Animals may be buried under this challenging high speed section.

Hohenrain (Elevated Boundary)

A small section that heads up to Schikane.

Schikane (Chicane)

It’s a chicane, the walls are close to the track to keep things interesting.

T13 (Stadium 13)

A stadium overlooks this section of the racetrack. Sometimes, this section of track is closed.

A speed restricted detour through the old pit lane is used instead.

Hatzenbach (Hatzen Brook)

This downhill section begins fast and slows as you negotiate it.  A small brook is on the left of the track.

Hocheichen (Great Oaks)

Big Oak trees had to be removed for this right left combination.

Quiddelbacher Höhe (Quiddelbacher Height)

Speed through a narrow bridge and marvel at the steep climb ahead.  You can park on the right and walk to spectator areas.

Flugplatz (Flight Place)

Commitment is needed as you fly over a blind crest then settle the car for a big right double apex turn.

Schwedenkreuz (Swedish Cross)

A high speed suspension test.  You will pass a stone memorial crosson the right hand side of the circuit.

A blind adverse camber left turn follows immediately.

Aremberg (Arem Mountain)

Good brakes are needed to slow down for the right hander under the Aremberg bridge.

Fuchsröhre (Fox Hole)

This section twists down a steep kinked incline then launches up into a blind left turn.

Adenauer Forst (Adenau Forest)

Slowing down into the left right turns is difficult for some.  Good fun for the crowds to watch.

Metzgesfeld (Metzges Field)

Commit bravely into a high speed left turn, then brake hard for a left-right combination.

Kallenhard (Kallen Forest)

A steep down hill braking zone is followed by a tightening right turn.

The Bumpy-Left Right before Miss-Hit-Miss (unofficial name)

It’s a bumpy ride through here as you prepare for a big right corner.

Miss-Hit-Miss (unofficial name)

A long right hand turn with 3 sections of Red and White Kerb.  Miss the first kerb, Hit the second then Miss the third.

Wehrseifen (Defence Valley)

A challenging entry to this right-left-right section. The slowest part of the track.

Breidscheid (Breidsheid is the village below)

Challenge your already tired brakes as you slow for the left hand turn over the Breidscheid bridge.  You can exit and enter the circuit here.

Ex-Mühle (Water Mill)

After the bridge is an amazing right hand turn, where you have to attack a steep uphill gradient.

Lauda-Linksknick (Lauda Left Kink)

Niki Lauda crashed and was badly burned in 1976 on this left kink.  The fiery incident ended F1 racing on the Nordschleife.

Bergwerk (Mountain Work)

A big braking zone into a right hand bend.  The most important corner for a quick lap time.  You must carry as much speed into the long fast climb up to Steilstrecke.

Kesselchen (Little Valley)

A long climb up a deep valley.  Three fast left hand kinks lead into a fast charge uphill.

Mutkurve / Angst Kurve (Courage Curve / Bravery Curve)

A fast left hand bend which requires complete commitment to maintain your uphill momentum.

Klostertal (Convent Valley)

The climb up the valley continues over a fast blind right kinked crest.  Nuns lived in this area here many years ago.

Steilstrecke (Steep Track)

A long right hand bend before the climb up to the most famous corner of the Nordschleife. There is a very steep track on it’s left side.

Karussell (Carousel)

Caracciola was the first driver to use the drainage bank for more speed.  If I had a penny for everybody who has copied his line, I’d be on a beach with my feet up.

Hohe Acht (High Lookout)

After Karussell you twist and climb again to the second highest point on the track.  T13 is slightly higher.  After a tight right hand curve you begin to head downward again.

Hedwigshöhe (Hedwigs Height)

Dr Otto Creutz, the brainchild of the Nurburgring must have been proud of his wife, he named this section of the track after her.

Wippermann (See Saw Man)

Speeding down through this very bumpy and twisty section requires finesse and patience.

Eschbach (Ash Brook)

Zoom out of the right crest of Wippermann and brake into the downhill left of Eschbach.

Brünnchen (Little Well)

This down and up section is two right hand bends with a lot of spectators to admire your enthusiasm.

Eiskurve (Ice Curve)

This left corner is the last place on the track to dry because it’s enclosed by trees.

Pflanzgarten 1 (Plant Garden 1)

Down a steep twisty incline quickly gaining speed towards a surprising drop.  You then have settle your vehicle for a right hand turn uphill into a blind left kink.

Pflanzgarten 2 (Plant Garden 2)

No time to rest after the blind kink of Pflanzgarten 1.  You immediately speed over a huge blind left drop to negotiate a rapid blind right-left-right combination.  White knuckle stuff at speed.

Schwalbenschwanz (Swallow Tail)

A high speed sprint towards a fast right bend then brake hard for a sharp left.

Kleines Karussell (Little Carousel)

A very bumpy mini Karussell which can spit you out in a unintended direction if you get it wrong.

Galgenkopf (Gallows Head/Hill)

Head up a small hill towards an important two stage right handed bend.  A huge straight is waiting so maximise the corner exit.

Döttinger Höhe (Dottingen High)

Enjoy going flat out along this massive straight.  A wiser option for those on a tourist session is to pull over to the right to let your brakes and car cool down before exiting the track and heading out for another lap of the famous Nurburgring.
