Audi R8 E-tron is pretty quick on the Nurburgring

Audi reckons the E-tron Prototype is rather quick around the Nurburgring.

It posted a lap time of 8 minutes and 9 seconds, just 5 seconds slower than the 424hp V8 R8 Coupe.

They say this a world record for an electric production car on road tyres. Not bad at all.
