Jaguar caught testing F-Type R - Nurburgring News Flash

Jaguar was testing a heavily disguised F-Type R on the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

The car has already been confirmed for production and will be available with two engines

A 3.0 liter V6 supercharged in two power outputs, 380 HP and 460 Nm of torque (339 lb-ft) and with 340 HP and 450 Nm of torque (332 lb-ft.

A more powerful 5.0 liter supercharged V8 unit will be available.

This V8 unit is also used in the XFR, XJ, XKR and XKR-S. The total total output will be 503 HP and 542 lb-ft of torque.

The production version of the Jaguar F-Type will be officially released to the public later this year, and will have it's market launch in 2013.
